Techie’s body to be brought today

The body of 25-year-old software engineer C. Kaushik from Prakasam district, who met with a watery grave in Atlanta in the US, will be brought to Hyderabad on Thursday.

Kaushik a native of a remote Ambutlavaripalem village near Parchur did MS at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota.

He was working with a leading multinational company at Atlanta, his family members said.

“My grandson went for a swim in Chattahoochee River and got stuck in the mud. His friends rushed him to a hospital. But he could not be saved,” said his grandfather C. Srirama Murthy, opthalmologist.

''Everything is over now'', added his grandmother C.Subbaiamma unable to reconcile with the tragedy that had struck the family. A product of R.V.R.& J.C. College of Engineering, Guntur, he was a bright student from his school days, they said, adding that the body would be brought to Hyderabad on Thursday and from there to the native village on the subsequent day for funeral, they added.

Meanwhile, a pall of gloom descended on Ambutlavaripalem with friends and relatives of Dr Srirama Murthy speaking in hushed voice about the tragedy.
