YSR Congress party honorary president Y.S. Vijayamma has alleged that the main Opposition Telugu Desam has colluded with the ruling Congress as the two parties were unable to digest the growing popularity to YSRC president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy.
The Congress and TDP collusion was evident from TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu’s alleged secret meeting with Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram and its role in maintaining silence on the Ameerpet land scam.
The CBI investigating into Mr. Jagan’s disproportionate assets case was acting hand in glove with the powers that was evident from inclusion of former Chief Minister late YSR’s name in the chargesheet instead of making the government party and making Mr. Jagan as accused one when his name figured as 52 accused.
Ms. Vijayamma concluded her two-day fee deeksha launched in protest against the government’s decision to impose conditions for extending fee reimbursement to eligible students. She called off the deeksha after students Priyanka and Naveena offered her lemon juice.
The deeksha venue witnessed impressive number of visitors, who raised slogans against the government for diluting the welfare schemes launched by YSR.
Ms. Vijayamma said that the government remained unmoved to several representations submitted for the past one year.
Slams Naidu
She slammed Mr. Naidu for not responding to her call to ensure that 100 BC representatives were elected to the Assembly in the next elections while expressing surprise that the TDP president who never visited any college was claiming fee imbursement as his brain child.
Referring to the fee reimbursement scheme, she said her late husband launched the scheme with a view to ensure that poverty did not become a hurdle in students’ aspirations to pursue higher studies.
