It was a nice and memorable experience for as many as 546 students from different schools in Prakasam district as they took part in a novel summer camp organised by the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad (HDPP) at the RISE group of Educational Institutions here.
“It was a productive week for the students who woke up early and went through a tight schedule evolved by experts to mould them into responsible citizens with a concern for the society and having high moral values,” said Mr. Alahari Chanchala Rao, president of the Prakasam District Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad (HDPP) constituted by the TTD satisfied with the successful completion of the weeklong camp here on Sunday.
The students were engaged in multifarious activities spread throughout the day during the ‘Subhapradam’ programme starting with Yoga at the break of dawn. A special session was organised to mould their personalities and imbibe positive attitude in life so that they could excel in their chosen field, explained HDPP Secretary P. Venkata Srinivasulu. The students' communication skills and body language were honed by experts in the field.
In the evening they indulged in merry making by performing traditional folk-art of ‘Kolatam’ under the watchful eyes of a music troupe from Addanki headed by Mr A. Subba Rao.
“We enjoyed a lot, seeing wonderful movies like Sampoorna Ramayanam, Baktha Prahalada, and Tata Manavadu of yesteryears screened specially for us. We want to take part in such camps again and again,” added a group of students having enjoyed the facilities at the sprawling college run by Mr I.C. Rangamannar.
