Telugu Official Language Commission Chairman Mandali Buddha Prasad has said that the State government will publish dictionaries complied by Telugu University. Mr. Buddha Prasad released ‘Kanchiki Cherani Katha’, a novel authored by Machilipatnam-based Andhra Saraswatha Samithi (ASS) president Kotti Ramarao.
Addressing the literary community of Bandar on Saturday, he said that State government would observe Telugu Official Language day on May 14, to highlight the need for its implementation as official language.
“The great achievement of conducting International Telugu Conference-2012 was that even various courts started pronouncing verdicts in Telugu language,” said Mr. Buddha Prasad.
He expressed satisfaction that the functioning of Telugu Academy and Telugu Universities was not up to the mark towards spreading of Telugu language. Mr. Buddha Prasad gave away the ASS Ugadi Excellence Award-2013 to the selected people in various categories at the two-day award ceremony here.
