The Andhra Pradesh SC Cooperative Finance Corporation has drawn up an ambitious programme to impart appropriate skills to Dalit students and help them bag lucrative jobs multinational corporations in the era of globalisation.

With drop in a number of jobs in the public sector, the Dalit youths had no other option but to gear up for placements in the private sector, its Chairman Jupudi Prabhakar Rao said in a chat with The Hindu. At least one lakh Dalit youth in the State would be imparted skills by the corporation in association with select MNCs during this year, he said.

The corporation will groom Dalit youths into entrepreneurs.
