Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) is organising a nine-day Shilparamam Crafts Mela at Maris Stella College indoor stadium.
APTDC Managing Director Himanshu Shukla inaugurated the crafts exhibition on Friday.
More than 100 artisans from different places displayed their products in the crafts mela.
The expo will help to give exposure to the colourful Kondapalli and Etikoppaka toys, handicrafts, terrakota articles, embroidery and pottery material, said Mr. Shukla.
Shilparamam Arts, Crafts and Cultural Society Special Officer B.Jayaraju said the theme of conducting the mela was to encourage village arts and encourage artisans.
Weavers from Venkatagiri, Mangalagiri, Pochampalli, Chirala and other places exhibited kalamkari, Bengali cotton, Kashmiri silks and other varieties in the expo, said in-charge officer D. Parthasaradhi.
