‘Services of paralegal volunteers are indispensable’

The services of paralegal volunteers in spreading legal knowledge in villages are indispensable, said Principal District Judge and Chairman, Chittoor District Legal Services Authority, Ch.Kanaka Durga Rao. He inaugurated Paralegal Volunteers Legal Awareness Training Programme on different acts on the premises of Nyaya Seva Sadan in Chittoor on Wednesday.

He said that basic knowledge of laws that were necessary to deal with legal problems arising in day-to-day life is necessary irrespective of one’s socio and economic condition. It is fundamental right of every citizen to have access to legal aid and the DLSA is striving hard to extend the services to the marginalised in the society.

DLSA Secretary Vepula Krishna Murthy has exhorted the paralegal volunteers to avail the awareness programmes conducted by the DLSA.
