The State government has decided to disburse salaries and pensions for the month of May on May 24 itself in view of the reorganisation of the State.
Normally, salaries and pensions are paid on the first day of the ensuing month. In view of the State’s division, the compilation and account rendering work should be completed before appointed day, June 2.
June 1 also happens to be a public holiday. Government transactions related to the combined Andhra Pradesh State should be closed prior to the appointed date.
