RTC will get 300 new buses, says Sidda

The APSRTC will shortly get 300 new buses, Transport Minister Sidda Raghava Rao said on Tuesday.

“The Karur Vysya Bank has sanctioned a loan of Rs. 150 crore for the purpose,” he said here.

The State has been sanctioned Rs. 113 crore under the Rural Infrastructure Development (RIDF) scheme of NABARD, he said, adding that as many as 12 roads in Prakasam district would be developed at a cost of Rs. 22 crore under RIDF.

Ahead of the Godavari Pushkaram, roads in East and West Godavari districts will be repaired at a cost of Rs. 645 crore, he added.

Ahead of the summer, Rs. 75 lakh has been sanctioned to revive defunct drinking water schemes in Prakasam district, he said, adding all notified water tanks would be filled with Krishna waters during March.
