The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has agreed to take up repairs on National Highway 9 in Medak district.

The NHAI authorities have released funds to the tune of Rs. 2.79 crore.

However, the conditions laid included prioritising the stretches after site inspection, taking photographs before and after repair, not taking up works where it was already carried out by the State government and no positive variation.

The authorities of the NHAI have also admitted that the road is getting damaged day by day.

NHAI Chief General Manager A.K. Mathur wrote a letter in this regard to Major Industries Minister J. Geeta Reddy indicating the sanction of funds and requesting the Chief Engineer (R&B) and National Highways to take up repairs immediately.
