Research on viral fevers to be launched in Chittoor

Vaidya Vidhana Parishad State joint commissioner Jayachandra Reddy on Thursday said that steps would be taken to transform the district into a model health hub.

The official inspected the area hospitals in Chittoor and Madanapalle divisions. Interacting with the medical and paramedical employees, Dr. Reddy said that a research project on viral fevers would be launched soon, covering an extensive area from Bangarupalem to Kuppam, which were vulnerable to seasonal ailments and viral fevers. Specialists would be involved to carryout the project.

Dr. Reddy said that ambulance service should be extensively used for the transport of pregnant mothers to hospitals.
