BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana on Saturday asked the State government to take steps for the reopening of all the four jute factories and sugar factory in Vizianagaram district to ensure livelihood for workers.

He alleged that policies of Chandrababu Naidu government were responsible for the closure of many industries in the backward district. Addressing a media conference here, Mr. Lakshminarayana expressed concern over the meagre allocation for irrigation projects of the districts.

He sought special focus on the development of Vizianagaram.

He said he was prepared to go to jail if he was unable to prove the ‘corruption’ of Chandrababu Naidu government.

Flagrant misuse of funds?

“Thousands of crores of Central funds were being misused. If any inquiry is ordered, we will be ready to prove the allegations made against the Telugu Desam Party government,” he said.

BJP MLC P.V.N. Madhav, official spokesperson RD Wilson and the party senior leaders Pakalapati Murali were among those present at the meet.
