Taking exception to the statements of TDP leaders on the ‘Gadapa gadapaku YSR Congress’ campaign, which aims at highlighting the failures of the TDP government, former YSRC MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy says that they are ready for a debate on the issue. The party is also game for an open ballot to gather people’s opinion. Interacting with the media here on Saturday, Mr. Reddy said that the people were dissatisfied with the TDP rule. The people’s response to the questionnaire during the door-to-door campaign vouched for it, he added.

“Their dissent is quite visible as none of the electoral promises has been fulfilled by the ruling party. A majority of them voted for Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, keeping aside his drawbacks. They have not even given the government pass marks,” he said. Questioning the status of electoral promises, right from ‘one job to every family’ to ‘regularisation of contract/outsourcing workers’, he demanded that the government give and explanation to the people.

“Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy is ready for a debate. Will the ruling party come forward to prove itself?” he sought to know. Mr. Reddy also charged the Congress and the TDP with filing cases against Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy with a view to embarrassing a worthy political adversary.
