Ramudu to continuefor two years

J.V.Ramudu, who is officiating as the in-charge Director General of Police of Andhra Pradesh from the appointed day June 2, in all likelihood will have a fixed tenure of two years, as per the guidelines of Supreme Court. Mr. Ramudu is due for his retirement in two months.

Officials sources said once the Chief Minister designate N.Chandrababu Naidu assumed office, a list of senior IPS officers including Mr. Ramudu will be sent to the selection committee which comprises of UPSC Chairman, Union Home Secretary, Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh and others. The committee will short list the names and send it back for approval.
