Ramanuja ratha yatra flagged off

The fourth leg of Bhagawad Ramanujacharya Sahasrabdhi Ratha Sanchara Yatra was flagged off here on Friday, which will cover six Divyakshetras in Tamil Nadu from Sept. 23 to 26. An initiative of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) coinciding with the millennial celebrations of the Sri Vaishnavite savant, the cavalcade reached Salem on Friday evening, where ‘Kalyanotsavam’ was performed in a grand manner. The chariot will cover Sri Appakudathan temple in Tirupper Nagar, Vadivazhagiya Nambi temple in Thiru Anbil, Sri Pundarikaksha Perumal temple in Tiruvellarai, Sri Purushothaman temple in Tirukkarambanur and Sri Alagiya Manavala Perumal temple in Tirukozhi on Sept. 24.

On Sept. 25, the ratham will reach the Sri Ranganatha temple in Srirangam and return to Tirupati the next day.
