The party demands White Paper on it

CPI State secretary K. Ramakrishna on Friday demanded a White Paper on the expenditure incurred on the ‘deeksha’ by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, and accused him of wasting public money for personal gain. Participating in the roundtable on ‘Ways to achieve SCS for Andhra Pradesh,’ organised by Krishna Delta Parirakshana Samiti, he questioned CM for wasting public money for a cause aimed at enhancing his personal reputation.

“He (CM) criticised the Opposition parties for causing heavy loss to RTC when they observed bandh recently. How can he justify utilising RTC buses for the deeksha?” he questioned.

Mr. Ramakrishna said the ‘hi-tech deeksha’ would not go down well with people as the expenditure was unwarranted for a State in grip of financial crisis.

He said the Chief Minister advised by the Opposition parties to stage protest in New Delhi and not on the roads of the State but now he staged protest at IGMC Stadium here, causing inconvenience to the public.

‘YSRCP will be a

team player’

YSRCP city president Malladi Vishnu took objection to the government using RTC buses for the ‘deeksha.’ He said the YSRCP would work in tandem with Prathyeka Hoda Sadhana Samiti for achieving the SCS and made it clear the party would not tie up with the BJP in the 2019 elections.

Former Chief Secretary I Y R Krishna, Rao, CPI(M) leader Donepudi Kasinath, Congress president N. Raghuveera Reddy, Prathyeka Hoda Sadhana Samiti president Chalasani Srinivas, Krishna Delta Parirakshana Samiti convenor Kolanukonda Sivaji, several leaders from farmers,’ and social outfits took part in the meeting.
