Postal staff plant saplings

Postmaster General M. Sampath on Wednesday appealed to the staff to plant at least a sapling each in the office premises.

Mr. Sampath and other postal officials planted at least 200 saplings in the Machilipatnam head post office and quarters’ premises during a special plantation drive.

Nehru Yuva Kendra of Vijayawada collaborated with the Postal Department for the drive that involved the postal authorities in planting and conservation of saplings. Machilipatnam Postal Superintendent Y. Rama Krishna and his staff also planted saplings in the office premises and pledged to take care of them.

Mr. Sampath also presented ‘My Stamp’ to the students who interacted with him during the plantation drive.
