Using computer-aided display and other technologies, SP P.H.D. Ramakrishna has taken up the task of reshuffling the police staff in Nellore district through transparent counselling in the presence of senior officials, association leaders and family members of the personnel concerned.

The drive was aimed at streamlining the police set-up in different police stations and circles where some staff are stated to have been working for considerably longer periods thereby becoming a problem in filing and investigation of cases. It was learnt that some staff members have been working for over 12 years in the same circle though at different stations.

A laborious task was taken up for gathering all the service details of the police staff and the vacancy positions all over the district till recently.

Displaying the service details on computer screens, Mr. Ramakrishna conducted the counselling in the presence of the members of the special committee formed with Additional SP Sarath Babu, the Special Branch DSP, and the SC, ST Cell DSP-1 besides the family members of the staff.

The exercise was conducted like the counselling for engineering and medicine admissions.
