It was an unforgettable experience for a group of 30 photographers, from the Hyderabad Digital Photographic Club as they trekked all the way to the peak of Kondaveedu Fort on Sunday morning. With the breeze behind their back, the group, comprising women, enjoyed the steep climb and captured some of the most amazing images on their cameras.

The group began their three-day trip at Undavalli caves, and later visited Dhyana Buddha statue in Amaravati before heading to the Kondaveedu Fort near Phirangipuram.

“The weather this year has been very refreshing though, as we faced a torrid time last year due to severe heat. All the group members reached the top of the hill and the panoramic view from the top is truly spell bounding,” said Ram Nagesh, founder and organiser of the club.

The club was founded in 2011 and had organised many tours on fashion photography, adventure photography.

Every year, the members take up a trekking expedition to far-away places. Later this year, they have planned a trip to Leh in Jammu and Kashmir.

As they trekked the hill range meandering through a string of steep hillocks and valleys, the group savoured every moment of the trip. “We wanted to set up a camp in the evening, but dropped the idea as there were women in the camp,” said Mr. Nagesh.

“It would be better if a helicopter ride is arranged from Vijayawada. The 14th Century historic place is still unexplored and could be an ideal tourist destination,” he said.
