Panabaka declares assets worth Rs. 6.57 crore

Union Minister Panabaka Lakshmi has no vehicle of her own, like AICC president Sonia Gandhi and Vice-President Rahul Gandhi. However, the four-time MP’s husband Panabaka Krishnaiah owns vehicles worth Rs.15.5 lakh as per the affidavit in which she declared that the assets belonged to her, including that of her family, were worth Rs. 6.57 crore. She owns jewellery worth Rs. 11.5 lakh, while her husband has jewellery of Rs. 3 lakh. She has a debt of Rs.1.3 lakh and her husband had the same of Rs. 15.5 lakh, the affidavit said. The immovable assets of the Union Minister of State for petroleum and natural gas and her family members are worth over Rs. 2.71 crore which include an inherited property worth Rs.1,84,55,342.

Ms. Lakshmi’s income in the 2012-13 financial year was Rs. 9,84,209 and the same for her husband was Rs. 6,63,372. There is no criminal case against her, as per the affidavit.
