More than 3,000 people from the surrounding villages of Tuni were examined at the mega medical camp organised by the Yanamala Foundation, a family trust established by Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu here on Sunday. This was the second medical camp organised by the foundation since its inception in February.

Mr. Ramakrishnudu, accompanied by Home Minister N. Chinna Rajappa and MP Thota Narasimham, inaugurated the camp .

Mr. Rajappa and Mr. Narasimham called upon people to make use of the camp and avail of free medical check-ups and distribution of medicines as well.

Mr. Ramakrishnudu said that the idea behind setting up the foundation was to assist the people from Tuni Assembly constituency to get access to health care and education facilities.

“We will conduct medical camps in all rural pockets and enxtend financial aid to meritorious students from the poor financial background for their higher studies,” Mr. Ramakrishnudu explained.
