All the opposition parties on Sunday demanded that the State government took initiative to protect the interests of the employees of Aurobindo Pharma. They alleged that the company management had failed in implementing the labour laws.
Aurobindo Pharma Employees Association, with the support of IFTU, organised a meeting with all party leaders to discuss the latest orders issued of the government. Former Union Minister Killi Kruprani, Srikakulam DCC President Dola Jagan, CPI District Secretary Chapara Sundarlal, Left party leaders Tandra Prakash, K. Srinivas and others extended their solidarity to the employees.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Kruparani said that the Labour Department should make management to follow rules and regulations in suspensions, transfers and others.
Mr. Sundarlal wanted Labour Minister K. Atchannaidu to convene a meeting both with the company management and the employees unions. IFTU State president P.Prasad, other leaders N.Neelam Raju, Mamidi Kranti, K.Sanyasi Rao and others demanded that the management withdrew all the suspensions and allowed the employees to work without conditions.
