Points, counterpoints and analysis. With excitement reaching a deafening crescendo over the decision of forming a separate state of Telangana, the netizens were not behind and flocked social media sites to share their perspective on the issue.

While some indulged in verbal duels over the pros and cons of the latest development, others debated the effect of formation of Telangana on the stability of other States. Nitizens shared news articles and blogposts which gave minute-by-minute developments and in-depth analysis of the current situation.

It was the supporters of Telangana who broke into the world of Twitter and Facebook expressing their jubilation over the announcement of Congress Working Committee to recommend formation of Telangana. Soon the topic went viral bringing in several people into the online conversations.

The ongoing protests in Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra areas also found mention in the updates through which anxious travellers, who were caught unawares, expressed their desperation.

Abhay Gupta, a twitter user (þ@abhaystoic), shared his travails by posting that the train he was travelling in was stuck in one place for more than three hours and that most of its AC bogies windows were shattered by the protestors.
