Only vegetarian dishes on the menu

: It will be a completely vegetarian fare for the delegates taking part in the Mahanadu as the venue is close to the holy Tirumala hills. The party’s culinary section has come up with a rich spread of authentic cuisines representing the taste and flavour of the 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh, besides mouth-watering delicacies of Telangana, and has also roped in expert chefs from the respective regions. The party has apparently taken a conscious decision to stay free from non-vegetarian dishes at the Mahanadu food counters, in deference to the local sentiments as well as the wishes of the delegates, for, it will be a party conclave-cum-pilgrimage for most of them. However, non-vegetarian food may be served to those who wish to have, at the place of their stay. In view of the sweltering heat wave, the party has readied five lakh water packets and three lakh buttermilk sachets to be distributed to the delegates.

Visual treat

It will be a visual treat for the delegates, as the cultural section headed by Member of Parliament N. Sivaprasad is coming up with a variety of dance sequences and skits. As a respite from the intense deliberations, cultural events planned in the morning, afternoon and evening are carefully sandwiched between two sessions on proceedings. A theatre artiste-turned-politician, Dr. Sivaprasad is getting ready to ‘thrill’ the audience in the getup of Lord Krishna, in a skit titled ‘Krishna – Kuchela.’ There will be a medley of seven super hit song sequences featuring the thespian and party founder N.T. Rama Rao, which is expected to be a big hit. The final day will have a skit on ‘Dasavatharam,’ where Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s 10 achievements are likely to be projected on the screen.
