Online test for varsity posts from April 9

Assistant professors to be recruited for 14 varsities

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) will conduct an online examination for recruitment of assistant professors in 14 universities in the State from April 9 to 13 in 22 cities and towns.

The universities are: Andhra University (Visakhapatnam), Vikrama Simhapuri University (Nellore), Adikavi Nannaya University (Rajamahendravaram), Dravidian University (Kuppam), Krishna University (Machilipatnam), Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University (Srikakulam), Sri Krishnadevaraya University (Anantapur), Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (Kakinada & Anantapur, ), Rayalaseema University (Kurnool), Acharya Nagarjuna University (Guntur), Sri Venkateswara University (Tirupati), Yogi Vemana University (Kadapa) and Sri Padmavati Mahila Viswavidyalayam (Tirupati).

The Paper-II of the exam will be held at a later date, which will be informed through website psc.ap.gov.in.

In a statement on Friday, the commission secretary Y.V.S.T. Sai said candidates would be allowed at the venue for biometric process and registration from 8 a.m. to 8.45 a.m. (with a grace period of 15 minutes) and 1.30 p.m. to 2.15 p.m. (with a grace period of 15 minutes).

Electronic devices or gadgets like mobile phones, iPod, calculator, handbag, writing pad or pen will not be allowed inside the exam hall.
