Noted auditor passes away

Viswanatham Achyutharamaiah (79), popularly known as `Auditor Achyutham’, passed away on Monday night in a private hospital after a brief illness. His body was brought here on Tuesday morning.

Achyutharamaiah started his practice in 1963 in Rajahmundry and was known to recommend to his clients to be honest in paying their taxes to the government. In recognition of his service, he had won awards and recognitions from the departments of income tax and sales tax besides from the Central and the State governments.
