No arrests made in girl rape case so far

Victim was allegedly raped by father, brother and cousin

No arrests have been made in the case relating to the alleged rape of a 24-year-old girl by her father, brother and cousin at Daba Gardens under Two Town police station limits.

“We have summoned the relatives of the girl and they have expressed ‘surprise’ at the victim’s complaint. The case is under investigation. No arrests have been made so far,” Inspector G.V. Ramana told The Hindu on Saturday.

The victim had in her complaint to the police on Friday, alleged that she was raped by her father, brother and cousin.

The mother of the victim got separated from her husband and was staying in her parent’s house in Nellore. The victim was staying in her paternal aunt’s house in Vizianagaram to pursue her education, while her father and brother were staying in the city. Her father brought her to Visakhapatnam about a year ago and she was staying with them ever since.
