‘New airport terminal at Tirupati by July’

February 16, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:44 am IST - Tirumala:

Minister for Civil Aviation Ashok Gajapati Raju said the ongoing works relating to the new terminal at Tirupati airport will be completed by July.

Talking to media persons after offering his prayers at Tirumala temple the Union Minister said the government was also mulling the option of exploding the air traffic in a phased manner for the benefit of those visiting the place for the darshan of Lord Venkateswara. Even though the Central government was committed to extending all the help in accordance to the tenets specified in the bifurcation act the financial perplexities were coming in the way of extending the special status to the State, he said.

Irrespective of all the difficulties he said both the Central and State governments are pledged to move ahead fulfilling the election promises.
