Nellore woman ‘kidnapped and left’ in Warangal

A woman aged around 42 years was allegedly kidnapped and abandoned in wee hours at Panthini village in Wardhannapet mandal here. According to Mamnoor DSP Mahender, V Sunitha who was native of Nellore was picked up by her two acquaintances and whisked away in a car on January 7 from Abdullapalli village where she worked as RMP doctor. She said the persons told her that local Sub Inspector was calling her on a financial dispute. But they gave her cool drink and took her places before leaving her in Panthini village in the early hours of Monday. She was found by local people who alerted the police.

Minor injury

She was shifted to MGM Hospital as she sustained a minor injury on abdomen. The DSP said a case of kidnap and attempt to murder was registered and it would be transferred to Nellore local police station.
