‘Need to organise more blood donation camps’

Srikakulam Collector and Indian Red Cross Society president P. Lakshmi Narasimham urged industries, educational institutions and other organisations to voluntarily come forward for conducting blood donation camps since there was a huge gap between demand and supply of blood in the district.

He attended as a chief guest for the society’s general body meeting held in Zilla Parishad conference hall where representatives of various organisations were felicitated. East Coast Energy Private Limited’s vice- president P.V.N. Raju, AITAM College chairman K. Someswara Rao, Ramleela Degree College of Palakonda Principal Sukanya and others bagged medals and commendation certificates for conducting the highest number of blood donation camps. Society chairman P. Jaganmohana Rao said that the institution had planned to conduct more number of blood donation camps.
