Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu has warned the party leaders not to air their views on the decisions taken by the leadership in public and instead represent the issues to the party through an appropriate forum.

Mr. Naidu reacted seriously to the comments reportedly made by senior leader from Visakhapatnam district Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu against admission of Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao and others into the party.

“They should fall in line. I will consider various aspects before taking a decision and it will be in the interests of the party,” he said responding to queries at a press conference here on Thursday evening.

Mr. Naidu spoke to media after admitting former Minister Makineni Pedarathaiah who rejoined the TDP fold. Senior Congress leader and former Minister S. Vijayarama Raju, after consulting his supporters and party leaders, too announced his plans to join the TDP soon. Mr. Naidu said he was admitting leaders from other parties, the Congress in particular, after ascertaining several factors including their record of public service. The State was facing an unprecedented situation at present as a national party that was in power was almost on the verge of being wiped out following its decision to bifurcate the State. “The decision to admit some leaders may hurt a few. But these decisions are taken after considering various factors,” he said in an indirect reference to Paritala Sunita who was upset at plans to admit J.C. Diwakar Reddy.Mr. Naidu ridiculed former Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy’s claims on making the voice of the Telugus heard in New Delhi claiming that he had proved his “inefficiency” during his rule.
