Naidu suggests changes in master plan

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has suggested modifications in the master plan for Andhra Pradesh’s new capital being prepared by Singapore Government agencies.

The Singapore Government on Monday presented a broad outline of the capital region plan to Mr. Naidu, who is on a two-day visit to Singapore.

The master plan would be refined further by incorporating the suggestions made by the Chief Minister in the next six to eight weeks, according to Chief Minister’s office.

Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh delegation made a detailed presentation to Singapore team on the land pooling process for the capital region. The capital region would have two ring roads and several radial roads connecting various towns to the core capital area.

The Singapore Government would come up with a revised version of the master plan for the next meeting to be held in four to six weeks.The next stage involves seed capital planning.
