The threat to blow up Visakhapatnam airport in Andhra Pradesh, purportedly made by a duo from Nirmal town in Adilabad district, turned out to be false as police investigated into the matter on Monday.

The persons in whose names the threat letter was delivered to airport authorities in Visakhapatnam were victims of a prank for the second time.

According to Nirmal CI l. Jeevan Reddy, Narayan Singh and Shakeel Ahmed, residents of Nirmal town, seem to be involved in some land deal. A letter was written in their name about two months back threatening to blow up Nirmal court, which turned out to be a prank. “We are investigating into the old issue and the present one. We have suspects in sight and questioning them will reveal what the motive is,” Mr. Jeevan Reddy said.
