Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham has unveiled his plan to launch ‘Aatmeeya Palakarimpu’ programme in the Konaseema region from October 8.
The aim is to interact with people of the community by visiting their houses and highlighting the need for extending BC status to the Kapus. Announcing this at a press conference here on Friday, leaders of the Kapu Joint Action Committee Vasireddi Yesudasu, Akula Ramakrishna, and Nalla Vishnumurthy said the objective of the tour was to enable the people who could not make it to Kirlampudi during the Kapu agitation to meet Mr. Padmanabham and explain him their problems.
The tour would be launched at the Siddhi Vinayaka temple at Inavilli. It would cover Veeravallipalem and surrounding villages. Mr. Padmanabham would interact with people residing in the Gannavaram Assembly constituency of East Godavari district in two days.
“Mr. Padmanabham has already toured several villages in West Godavari district last month and interacted with members of the community. Now, he is planning to visit the Gananvaram Assembly constituency. We are keen on the BC status and our movement will be continued till the government included Kapus in the list of BCs,” the leaders said.
