Mountaineer’s body retrieved

All arrangements have been made to bring the body of the deceased mountaineer, Malli Masthan Babu, to his native place at Gandhi Jana Sangham in Sangam town near here by April 18.

The trekking team engaged by the Indian officials in Argentina has brought the body down from the high altitude Andes mountain ranges already. The body is presently located on Argentina side and it was being embalmed.

The mountaineer’s sister Dorasanamma reached Argentina to receive the body from the authorities there.

Union Minister for Urban Development M. Venkaiah Naidu and Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana initiated necessary steps for bringing the body of the renowned summiteer to Nellore district.

Ch. Penchala Reddy, Officer on Special Duty, Nellore, said the body would be brought by air from Argentina via Delhi and Chennai. The body would be received at the Chennai airport and brought to his native place by road.
