In a freak incident, a man was injured when he was shot at by his relative who mistaken him for a rabbit in a forest location near Rachuru village of Yadamarri mandal.

A bunch of men went to the forest for hunting rabbits in the early hours of Friday. One of them, after hearing a rustle from a bush, fired at it with his country weapon, but only to hear a scream of a human.

Later, the man with the gun realised that he had shot his own relative, a 30-year-old man from the same village. The victim went behind the bush to relieve himself.
