MBA graduate held for supplying arms to naxals

The city police chanced upon an MBA graduate allegedly manufacturing and supplying crude firearms to naxalites.

A special team of police from West Godavari district arrested Yellasri Sarath Reddy ailas Sarath Kumar, a resident of Vijayawada, and seized pistol rods, iron sheets and springs used to make fire arms, magazines, a laptop and printer at his house in Autunagar.

Deputy Superintendent of Police K.G.V. Saritha told The Hindu on Sunday the police zeroed in on Sarath Kumar while pursuing a case of the arrest of 13 armed militants of the CPI (ML-New Democracy) Chandranna group and seized weapons from them in West Godavari district.
