The Rajahmundry crime police on Monday arrested a person and recovered eight motorbikes from his possession.
According DSP A. Satyanarayana, the police arrested Nakka Durga Prasad of Subbarao Nagar near Danvaipeta and recovered the two-wheelers. Hailing from Chidiga village near Kakinada, Prasad earlier worked as a cook in a hotel. He came to the city along with his family a year ago in search of livelihood and after failing to get a job, started stealing bikes and other articles.

A fire broke out in a tiffin centre following a gas leak from a LPG cylinder near Jampeta Uma Ramalingerswara Swami temple.
