A person committed suicide by jumping in front of a running train near Srikalahasthi railway station here on Tuesday.
Police officials recovered keys of a private lodge from the pocket of the deceased and went to the accommodation to ascertain his identity.

However, the officials were in for a shock as the body of a woman, presumed to be the wife of the deceased, was found in the room. The couple were identified as Gunasekhar and Aruna, hailing from Chittoor district. Police suspect that the man must have murdered his wife and committed suicide. More details are yet to be ascertained. A case has been registered.
