All the three MPs in East Godavari district have managed to get nominated posts for their loyalists.
Dokala Murali, PCC secretary and a senior leader from Rajahmundry, was appointed Chairman of Backward Classes Corporation. He is a stanch supporter of Amalapuram MP G.V. Harsha Kumar and a follower of senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao.
Mr. Murali, who belongs to Koppula Velama community, is a contractor, Censor Board member and also a film producer. Allu Venkata Sanyasi Rao, popularly known as Allu Bobby, is a disciple of Rajahmundry MP Vundvalli Arun Kumar. He was appointed Chairman of District Libraries Authority, East Godavari. His appointment letter was first given on June 19 and later it was kept in abeyance as the rival group sent fax messages to the Chief Minister’s office against Mr. Bobby. Mr. Arun Kumar swung into action and spoke to both Chief Minister and PCC president and finally Mr. Bobby was given orders on Tuesday in Hyderabad and he assumed charge on Wednesday in Kakinada.
After 25 years of long waiting, Pantam Nanaji, senior Kapu leader and follower of Union Minister M. M. Pallam Raju got the chairman post of the Handicrafts Development Corporation.
