Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed satisfaction with the Amaravati designs submitted by Foster+Partners (F+P) during his second day’s discussions with Lord Norman Foster in London on Wednesday.
Mr. Naidu suggested some changes to the Legislative Complex designs and gave the nod for those of the High Court while asking for three options as far as the designs of the Secretariat were concerned, which he wanted to be built in five towers.
He insisted that the public feedback should be at the centre-stage of the entire exercise.
Mr. Naidu said he was looking for the best designs as he carried the burden of the expectations of five crore people and their wish to build a city that had very few parallels.
He insisted that Amaravati should figure among the top five cities in the world.
The CM requested Mr. Foster to ensure that the designs stood out as unique ones saying it was because of his firm’s global reputation that the task was entrusted to him and his talented team of architects and designers.
