Telugu Desam Party Workers’ Welfare Fund treasurer Nara Lokesh lashed out at YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy on Wednesday by accusing him of raking up a needless controversy on Pattiseema project. YSRC will go into oblivion on completion of Pattiseema lift-irrigation project, Mr. Lokesh remarked while addressing party men at Railway Kodur. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was striving to develop Rayalaseema and was committed to implementing loan waiver for farmers. Mr. Lokesh was received by TDP constituency in charge Viswanatha Naidu and party functionaries at Railway Kodur.

Mr. Lokesh made brief halts to greet groups of party men who assembled when his convoy passed through Rajampet, Vontimitta, Bhakrapet crossroads, Siddhavatam, Badvel and Porumamilla. He visited the house of Seelam Bayyapu Reddy, a party functionary who died in a recent road accidentand consoled the bereaved family members and gave them a cheque towards financial assistance. The family was given ex gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from the TDP Welfare Fund recently.
