: Assembly speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao has asked officials of the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) to make sure that the proposed legislature in the capital region contains all amenities for the members as well as the staff.

The Speaker said the requirements of the legislature would be different from those of the regular administrative buildings and officials should ensure that the required facilities were put in place accordingly. Since it was proposed to accommodate the Assembly and the Council on the same premises, officials should take adequate measures to see that members and the support staff were not put to inconvenience when both the Houses were in session simultaneously.

Though the upcoming structure in Velagapudi in the capital region was supposed to be temporary one, it should contain all the amenities. Dr. Sivaprasada Rao on Friday held a meeting with the CRDA officials to review the progress of the ongoing works in Velagapudi.

He wanted the officials concerned to examine the buildings in Hyderabad housing the legislatures of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh so that the upcoming structure in the capital region could be equipped with all the amenities. He wanted the officials concerned to explain the firms executing the project on the requirements so that necessary facilities were incorporated in the new structure.
