Kurnool Medical College gets DM (Cardiology) course

NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, has accorded approval for starting DM (Cardiology) course in Kurnool Medical College from this academic year, college Principal G.S. Ramprasad said on Wednesday.

The college, set up in 1957, can admit two students per year in DM Cardiology course, Dr. Ramprasad told the media. The Post-Graduate Medical Education Committee considered the compliance verification assessment report and the council assessor’s report and compliance submitted by the college authorities and recommended to the Central Government to permit starting of the course in Kurnool Medical College under the NTR University of Health Sciences, he added. P. Chandrasekhar, Head of Cardiology in Kurnool General Hospital, and K. Prabhakara Reddy, Cardiothoracic surgeon, presented a bouquet to the college principal and lauded him for securing permission for the course.
