Krishna Collector adopts village on A.P.-TS border

Collector Babu. A adopted Ummadi Devarapalli, a remote village on the borders of AP and Telangana States in Gampalagudem mandal of Krishna district, under the Smart Village Programme.

Mr. Babu visited the village and inquired with the villagers about the facilities available there.

He asked the Rural Water Supply, Civil Supplies, Education Department and other officials to provide the necessary amenities at the village.

ID liquor

When the locals complained that some people were brewing ID liquor at Venkatapuram and other hamlets in Khammam district in Telangana, the Collector spoke to his counterpart in Khammam. He wanted steps to be initiated to prevent country made liquor on border hamlets and tandas.

The Collector also asked the school teachers about dropouts in the village.

Later, he inquired about drinking water, pensions, Aadhaar cards distribution, supply of ration in Fair Price Shop, Individual Sanitary Lavatories (ISL), implementation of Mid-Day Meals, medical and other facilities.

Gampalagudem Mandal Revenue Officer Asaiah, Mandal Development Officer Lalitha, Village Special Officer Diwakar, Panchayat President Sujatha and others accompanied the Collector.
