Kodela invites Sumitra, Venkaiah

Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao on Tuesday invited Union Minister for Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs M. Venkaiah Naidu and Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan for the Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference to be held in Visakhapatnam from January 3 to 5. During his visit to Delhi, Mr. Rao interacted with Mr. Naidu and Ms. Mahajan on various issues and extended invitation for the Parliamentary conference which will discuss the theme Media and Law. He also gave a presentation on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan undertaken in the State to Union Minster of Rural Development Chowdary Birender Singh. Mr. Rao said priority was given to total sanitation campaign in A.P under which 20,000 individual lavatories were constructed in Sattenapalli constituency in Guntur district in just 45 days.

In the evening, Mr. Rao met Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitaraman. He was accompanied by Narsaraopet MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, Visakhapatnam MP K. Haribabu, A.P Government’s special representative in Delhi K. Rammohan Rao and Guntur Collector Kantilal Dande.
