Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman M. Kodandaram alleged that Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy was acting as the CM for only Seemandhra region.
Speaking at a round table meeting organised by Telangana Vidyavanthula Vedika here on Sunday, he deplored Chief Minister’s partisan attitude saying that it was unconstitutional.
Condemning the attack on Congress MP V. Hanumantha Rao at Alipiri in Tirupati, he said that such mindless acts would widen the gap between the people of two regions further.
He said that the TJAC would organise ‘Shanthi Deekshas’ from Monday onwards for a week at Indira Park in Hyderabad.
He further said that Telangana region was deprived of its legitimate share of river water and added that the region would get justice only after bifurcation.
Referring to the ongoing agitations for united State, Mr. Kodandaram said the Seemandhra people should understand the immense desire of the people of Telangana to have a separate State.
Mahabubnagar BJP MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy said the Telangana people should not indulge in celebrations but strive to chalk out a comprehensive plan for the holistic development of the region after the State formation.
He criticised Rayalaseema leaders Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy and Minister T.G. Venkatesh for trying to create hurdles in taking up Palamoor-Rangareddy lift irrigation scheme. He said Rayalaseema was drawing more water from Krishna and Tungabadra rivers than its allocated share.
TJAC leaders Srinivas Goud, Addanki Dayakar, district TJAC chairman G. Rajender Reddy and others also participated.
