Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, who attended the A.P. Congress Coordination Committee meeting held here on Friday, reportedly reiterated his opposition to the bifurcation of the State.
Those who participated in the meeting, convened by Congress general secretary in charge of A.P. and chairman of the coordination committee, Digvijaya Singh, discussed the strategies for next year’s Assembly and Lok Sabha polls, among other things.
While Mr. Singh reiterated that the CWC’s decision to create Telangana would be carried out at any cost, and with full vigour, Mr. Reddy is said to have told those at the meet that the people of Seemandhra would not allow the division of Telugus.
The A.P. Assembly would not be able to pass a resolution on the matter, he reportedly said.
On Saturday, Mr. Reddy will lead a delegation of ministers from Seemandhra and Telangana to a meeting with the Prime Minister.
