On the charge of conducting medical tests for 29 out of 60 kidney donors, who sold their kidney for money, police had arrested the manager of Sania Diagnostic Centre, Ahamadebad, Anupam Malleshwari (50).

Speaking to news reporters here on Tuesday, Deputy Superintendent of Police S. Sudhakar said that a team of police officers raided the diagnostic centre in Ahamedabad on Monday morning.

All fled the scene

Except the manager, all the staff, including the radiologist fled from the scene.

Mr. Sudhakar added the accused was produced before the local magistrate, who permitted the police to take the accused to Nalgonda to help the investigating team.

The Deputy Superintendent of Police said that the diagnostic centre had conducted the health tests in violation of guidelines to help Suresh Prajapathi, the kingpin of human organ trafficking, to operate his business. Inspectors T. Srinivas, P. Pravin and E. Ravindar were present.
