KCR to attend Modi’s oath taking

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president K. Chandrasekhar Rao will attend Narendra Modi’s swearing in as the next Prime Minister of the country on May 26.

Party sources stated on Tuesday that Mr. Rao would also meet Mr. Modi personally during his visit.

He will leave for Delhi on May 25 and would be accompanied by the party’s MP-elects and senior leaders. Mr. Rao has been invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony by Mr. Modi.

Meanwhile, the residence of Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao continued to be the beehive of activity for the fifth day in a row on Tuesday as about 45 government officials comprising IAS, IPS and other officers and several employees bodies called on him.

Possible locations

Sources also said that the party leadership was also considering the Ministers’ quarters in Banajara Hills as one of the possible locations for the Telangana Chief Minister’s camp office. Proposals to club together three quarters to make the camp office were being examined by the party’s senior leaders close to Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao.

Core team

It is understood that Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao has also finalised the names of senior officer S. Narsing Rao and V. Nagi Reddy to be part of his core team in the Telangana Government.

The name of P. Rajasekhar Reddy as an officer on special duty was also learnt to have been finalised, the sources said.
